Message: This Woman is Me

I feel like I was shot 10 times in the head and left for dead. Surely, if someone is shot in the head 10 times, they should be dead, right? But God wouldn’t let me die. Five months later, the person who shot me sees me not just surviving, but thriving. They wonder how I can thrive when I should be dead. They wonder why they are not prospering. They think to themselves, “I killed her.”

But you cannot kill what will not die. When you’re climbing up a ladder, all you can do is look forward and climb ahead. But when you stop to kick the person down who is coming behind you, you lose your footing. You may slip, you may even fall. You can’t prosper when you make it your job to tear someone down, especially the very person you should be rooting for.

So, when you see me smile, tell God thank you that He didn’t let this woman die.
