The Scribe’s Knowing

Part II “To Know”

Jeremiah 29:11–14 (ESV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

14 I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.

Now that we know all the definitions of the word “know,” we can apply it to this scripture and gain a deeper revelation of God’s plan for us.

Therefore, the scripture now translates to:

For I am deeply familiar with, intimately connected to, and fully certain of the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord — “plans formed from experience with you, plans I understand completely and have already finished. I created these plans Myself, tailor-made for who you are, aligned with the gifts I placed within you when I formed you. I designed them intentionally — with you in mind.”

That right there is good news.

It frees me — because now I can release the unnecessary worry that produces fear, doubt, and anxiety.

It feels like an exhale after a long run.

I can breathe — knowing God is breathing for me.

Before He decrees anything else, the first thing He announces is:

“I have plans for you.”

(Jeremiah 29:11)

That statement alone reassures me that I am not here by accident or random circumstance. I am not a mistake. I am not overlooked.

I am no longer wandering in the wilderness —

I have transitioned to the promised land.

(Reference: Joshua 5:6–12 entering promise)

And did you know… if you’re connected to someone who’s blessed, you get blessed by proximity?

Scripture says:

“And I will bless them that bless thee…”

(Genesis 12:3 KJV)

So God blessing me is also a blessing for women like me — and women like you.

Because if God will use someone like me to speak to someone like you, then surely goodness and mercy will follow you too, all the days of your life.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”

(Psalm 23:6 KJV)

For His plans are good.

And scripture confirms:

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life… shall be able to separate us from the love of God.”

(Romans 8:38–39 KJV)

Therefore, I activate this scripture in my own life — thanking God for the plans He has for me.

Plans assigned to my name before I ever existed in time — when He bore me in eternity.

With that in mind, knowing God’s plan for us is better than the plan or life we’ve created for ourselves. We’re not called to create our own destiny — we’re called to BE and to DO according to His will.

For the scripture says:

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

(Romans 8:28 KJV)

What further frees me in this passage is how God gives it.

After the very first sentence, “For I have plans for you,” He says:

“Declares the Lord.”

That means this verse is not just something to read — it is a declaration.

A divine decree spoken over your life.

That blesses my spirit.

Because before He tells me the details, He establishes His authority:

God Himself is declaring this.

And because He declares it — that means it has to come to pass.

Do you understand?

Why must it come to pass?

Because scripture says:

“…so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void…”

(Isaiah 55:11 KJV)

He is serious about these plans He designed for you.

It will happen.

Do you hear me?

It’s going to happen.

Why?

Because scripture says:

“God is not a man, that he should lie…”

(Numbers 23:19 KJV)

After declaring that He indeed has plans for me — plans with purpose, intention, and assignment — He continues to decree the nature of those plans:

“Plans for welfare and not for evil.”

(Jeremiah 29:11)

Now that blesses me, because while God allows and uses everything for His glory (even the evil or hard things), in this verse I am not the object of the evil — I am the beneficiary of the good.

Some people are used as instruments of hardness so God may reveal His goodness — and I have had many seasons like that.

But now —

I am in the promised land.

And this is the scripture I stand on in this season. For this new thing He is beginning in me.

“Behold, I will do a new thing…”

(Isaiah 43:19 KJV)

Here He is telling me:

I am the goodness He foretold.

And now that I am aware — enlightened enough to not only use the Word correctly, stand on the Word, and discern the Word for others — but now my revelation is:

I am a teacher of the Word.

All those degrees and certifications were preparation for this revelation.

I am no longer a babe thirsty for milk, but a teacher — like Ezra.

“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach…”

(Ezra 7:10 KJV)

A scribe in his own right.

And that is why the activation has seemed so swift — because He was waiting for me.

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”

(James 4:8 ESV)

And when I finally surrendered, that gave Him the invitation to have His way.

“Your kingdom come, your will be done…”

(Matthew 6:10 ESV)

And God reigns with perfect authority.

So now that I have this knowing, help me steward it well — not abusing the Word for my own agenda, but using it to speak life where people feel like walking death.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

(Proverbs 18:21 KJV)

Because I know what that pain feels like — like the widow in 2 Kings 4, standing with her last jar of oil.

And that is why my trauma has been so severe — because God cannot send someone where they have not been.

And because I have walked through darkness — because I have survived the wilderness — God can now send me back to pull others out.

Not with sermons.

Not with platforms.

Not with titles.

But with:

A text written by me — and anointed by Him — for those like you.

How do I know? Because I have walked this out. This is not something I merely heard or saw — I lived it. I have been on the side of the unknown, where confusion, fear, and self‑reliance ruled — the side rooted in the flesh and shaped by the world.

But now I stand on the other side — the side of knowing, walking with God and no longer against Him.

And this is how we must posture ourselves: under Him, submitted to Him, led by Him — the Head and never the tail. (Deuteronomy 28:13)

I am dangerously anointed for such a time as this — a divine interruption, sent to help bring you back to God from exile.
