My name is Tiara Christopher, and I am an author, motivational speaker, philanthropist, wellness specialist, and pioneer in restorative writing and trauma-informed healing.
As a first-generation college graduate with degrees in Speech and Rhetoric, Communication, and Psychology, I have dedicated my life to understanding the power of language, storytelling, and human transformation. My work is deeply rooted in both lived experience and academic study, allowing me to bridge the gap between personal testimony and practical healing.
As a former foster youth, mother to an autistic daughter, and survivor of significant adversity, I understand what it means to navigate pain, uncertainty, and rebuilding. Those experiences shaped not only who I am, but also the work I have been called to do. I believe that healing begins when we find the language for what we have lived through.
Through years of writing, reflection, and research, I developed a restorative writing approach that helps individuals process pain, increase self-awareness, and reclaim their voice. My work integrates psychological insight with spiritual grounding, creating spaces where people can move beyond survival and toward healing, wholeness, and purpose.
I am the author of The Art of Translating Pain: A Restorative Writing Workbook for Healing, Wholeness, and Transformation. Through my books, workshops, speaking engagements, and community initiatives, I help individuals transform their experiences into sources of growth, resilience, and impact.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: our stories are not merely evidence of what we have survived. They are often the very tools God uses to heal us, strengthen others, and reveal purpose in places we once only saw pain.
My Expertise
My expertise lies in the convergence of disciplines that are often studied separately but experienced simultaneously in everyday life. As a writer, communication specialist, wellness professional, and student of human behavior, I specialize in helping people recognize the connections between Scripture, psychology, culture, trauma, healing, and personal transformation.
Through the use of metaphor, imagery, analogy, intertextuality, and restorative storytelling, I bring together biblical principles, psychological research, humanitarian concerns, historical context, and lived experience to create deeper understanding and practical application. My work invites readers to see that the truths found in Scripture are not confined to the pages of the Bible but are often reflected throughout everyday life, relationships, communities, and culture.
I am particularly known for translating complex concepts into accessible language that resonates across diverse audiences. Whether drawing parallels between a biblical narrative, a psychological theory, a social issue, a historical event, or even a cultural moment, I help readers discover connections that foster insight, healing, and growth.
My areas of specialization include restorative writing, trauma-informed healing, resilience, identity development, communication, personal transformation, faith-based wellness, foster youth experiences, autism advocacy, and community-centered healing practices.
In addition to my academic background in Speech and Rhetoric, Communication, and Psychology, I am certified in trauma-informed yoga, children’s yoga, anxiety-informed yoga, and restorative wellness practices. These disciplines inform my holistic approach to healing, allowing me to integrate mind, body, spirit, and story into my work.
At the center of my work is a commitment to helping individuals move beyond merely understanding their experiences to finding meaning within them. I believe healing often begins when we can connect seemingly unrelated pieces of our story and recognize the larger narrative God has been writing all along.
What I Do
I used to survive.
Then I realized my pain had purpose.
Now I help others navigate their pain through writing, storytelling, healing, and transformation.
I wear many hats depending on what is needed in the moment, but each one serves the same mission: helping people move from survival to healing, from healing to wholeness, and from wholeness to purpose.
I am an author who uses restorative writing to help people find language for experiences that often feel too painful, complex, or overwhelming to express.
I am a motivational speaker who shares messages of resilience, faith, healing, and personal transformation with audiences seeking encouragement and practical tools for growth.
I am a restorative writing coach who helps individuals use storytelling, reflection, and intentional writing practices as pathways toward self-discovery and healing.
I am a communication specialist who helps people understand the power of language, narrative, and human connection.
I am a wellness specialist certified in trauma-informed yoga, children’s yoga, anxiety-informed yoga, and restorative wellness practices. Through this work, I help individuals understand the connection between the mind, body, spirit, and story.
I am a philanthropist and community advocate committed to serving vulnerable populations, supporting families, and creating spaces where healing can occur both individually and collectively.
Above all, I am a bridge builder. Whether through Scripture, psychology, culture, wellness, research, community engagement, or personal testimony, my work seeks to connect ideas, people, and experiences in ways that foster deeper understanding, healing, and hope.
Everything I do is rooted in one belief: our stories have the power to transform not only our own lives, but the lives of others.
